Terms

Your registration

• Your registration is complete once you confirm it from the link we email you and, for a paid ticket, once your payment has gone through.
• Each ticket admits one person. In-person seats are limited and allocated in order of confirmed registration.
• Please give accurate details. We may cancel registrations that are duplicated, automated or made in bad faith.
• Invitation codes are personal to the event and cannot be exchanged for money.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in euros on the registration page and include any applicable taxes. Payment is taken by card through Stripe. An in-person seat is held for 30 minutes while you pay; if payment is not completed, the seat is released.

Refunds and transfers

• Tickets are non-refundable, but you can transfer yours to someone else. To arrange a transfer, email support@speakernation.com before the event.
• Because this is a leisure event on a specific date, the 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law does not apply (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(l)).
• If in-person seats sell out while you are paying, we move your ticket to the live stream and refund the difference automatically. Any other payment we cannot turn into a ticket is refunded in full.

If the event changes

• The speakers are kept a mystery until the night, and the programme may change. Changes to individual speakers or the running order do not entitle you to a refund.
• If we cancel the event, we refund the ticket price in full.
• If we postpone it or change the venue, your ticket is valid for the new date or place. If you cannot attend, you can ask for a refund within 14 days of our announcement.
• We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you incur.

Live stream

We email your Zoom link the day before the event. The link is for you alone: please do not share it. You need your own internet connection and device. We cannot be responsible for problems with your own equipment or connection.

At the venue

Please follow the venue's rules and our staff's instructions. We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who behaves in a way that is unsafe or disruptive, without a refund.

The event is filmed and photographed, and we may use the footage to share and promote ParadigmX and Speaker Nation. By attending in person you may appear in it. If you would rather not, tell our staff at check-in so we can seat you away from the cameras where possible, or email support@speakernation.com afterwards and we will not use footage in which you are clearly identifiable.

Invitation rewards

Registrants can earn rewards by inviting friends with their personal link, as described on the confirmation page. A friend counts once they have registered and attended, in person or for at least 30 minutes on the live stream. We decide eligibility based on our records and may withhold rewards gained through fake or duplicate registrations. Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash.

Content and intellectual property

The talks, slides, materials and the ParadigmX and Speaker Nation names and branding belong to us, the speakers or our licensors. You may not record, stream or redistribute the event without our written permission. The talks are for education and inspiration; they are not professional advice.

Liability

Our total liability to you in connection with the event is limited to the price you paid for your ticket. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and can bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem directly.
