Privacy policy

Last updated 5 November 2026

This policy explains what personal data we collect through paradigmx.org, why, and what rights you have. ParadigmX is organised by Catalystix, Inc., trading as Speaker Nation, 1141 Monogram Way, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123-3606, United States ("we", "us"). We are the controller of your personal data. Questions or requests: support@speakernation.com.

What we collect

  • When you register: your first and last name, email address, how you attend (in person or live stream), any invitation code you use, and your consent to event emails.
  • When you pay for a ticket: Stripe handles your card details on its own secure page. We receive the payment status and amount, never your full card number.
  • When you invite friends: your personal invitation code and link, and which registrations came through it, so we can count your rewards.
  • If you watch the live stream: the time you spent in the Zoom session, from Zoom's attendee report, used only to check stream attendance for rewards.
  • At the venue: your check-in, so we know who attended. The event is filmed and photographed, so you may appear in photos or video.
  • When you apply to speak: your name, email, phone number, location, website and links, a short bio, and your talk title and description.
  • When you visit the site: our hosting provider records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To register you, hold your seat, take payment, send your ticket and stream link, and check you in. Basis: performing our contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
  • To email you about this event, including reminders. Basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link or by writing to us.
  • To run the invitation rewards and check eligibility. Basis: performing our contract with you.
  • To review speaker applications and reply to you. Basis: your consent.
  • To keep accounting and tax records of payments. Basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
  • To keep the site secure and prevent abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • To film and photograph the event and use the footage to share and promote ParadigmX and Speaker Nation. Basis: our legitimate interest. You can object at any time (see the terms, At the venue).

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for marketing beyond this event unless you separately agree to that.

Who processes it for us

We share your data only with the service providers we need to run the event, under data processing terms:

  • Vercel: website hosting.
  • Supabase: the registration database.
  • Stripe: card payments.
  • Resend: sending confirmation emails.
  • Keap: our email and contact management system, for event emails.
  • Zoom: the live stream.
  • Airtable: storing speaker applications.

Transfers outside the EU

Some of these providers, and the organiser itself, are based in the United States. Where your data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Registration, check-in and reward data, and speaker applications: 365 days after the event (until 27 November 2027), then deleted. Payment records: as long as accounting law requires. Photos and video of the event: as long as we use them. Server logs: a few weeks.

Cookies

paradigmx.org does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you pay by card, Stripe's checkout page sets the cookies it needs to process the payment securely and prevent fraud.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Write to support@speakernation.com; we reply within one month.

You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Estonia, the Andmekaitse Inspektsioon (Data Protection Inspectorate, www.aki.ee), or the authority where you live.

Children

Registration is for adults. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian to register for you.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
